We are accepting resumes from quality personnel to join our staff for several programs
within 
Ocean State Sports.

Quality Personnel:  an individual who is honest, hardworking, a team player, and is willing to
learn and grow within our organization.
Must love sports, have a passion for the sport(s), and have a desire to encourage, demonstrate, and teach youth to excel in their chosen sport--
on and off the court.
Must be a person of character, respect, and be willing to think "outside of the box".

From time to time, we will have administrative positions for individuals who are organized, hardworking, and possess a good attitude and approach when managing a division and/or event.

 
 
Each candidate must provide the following to be considered for a position within Ocean State Sports:
1) Cover letter; 2) Resume; and 
3) Two References including addresses and phone numbers 


UPON ACCEPTANCE OF A POSITION
1 - Each candidate will be subject to a national/state criminal background check 
 
2 -Provide proof of Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Concussion Certification
(Concussion Test can be completed before practices begin)
3 -Attend OR complete the online versions of coaching courses required by Governing Associations(NERVA/AAU)

4 -
Must be willing to contribute, attend coaching clinics, and participate in coaching and club activities.

~HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER LEAGUE COORDINATORS~
Will be responsible for scheduling, collecting/reporting results,
and equipment management.

 
 
~MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER LEAGUE INSTRUCTORS~
Will be responsible for instructing six to eight players.
 Provide Age appropriate drills, teamlike practices, and coaching in-house scrimmages are some of the duties required.  
(Locations:  East Greenwich; Northern RI, and East Bay)
 
~ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUMMER LEAGUE INSTRUCTORS~
Will be responsible for instructing a six to eight players.
 Provide Age appropriate drills, teamlike practices, and coaching in-house scrimmages are some of the duties required.  
(Locations:  East Greenwich; Northern RI, and East Bay)
 
WINTER OPENINGS--2019-2020
Commitment Requirement for these positions is two seasons

WHAT TO EXPECT ON TOURNAMENT DAY?
Enter Times are just that...the time all players and spectators are allowed to enter.  
Please honor these times.

Coolers, coffee cups, and sugary drinks MAY NOT be allowed in your tournament gym.  
PLEASE HONOR THESE REQUESTS as we are guests.
These rules are established
by the respective school districts.

There will be a Work Team for each game.  
Two girls from the work team will be officiating.
Will errors in calls occur = Yes.  
Most errors can be corrected. 
We ask that if there are any issues, please speak with your Coach.  They will try to correct the issue and/or will escalate the problem
to the Tournament Director.
The OSV Coaches and Staff ask all parents, family, friends, and spectators to let the players play, let the coaches coach, and cheer for all.

Lastly,
If an OSV team is asked to officiate a semi-final game or a final game, we must serve in this position.  It is part of the game.
We know that the day is long and
everyone wants to go home, 
 but think of the team that has to stay
when we are in the semis or finals?
